Factory Planning

Project targets and tasks

Customer generates a new high-volume order and needs approx. 10,000 m² of additional production space for an independent factory. A logistics service provider in the vicinity has the space needed (previously a warehouse). Until now, the service provider has worked as a distributor with a connection to the customer.

  1. Project start: June
  2. Project end: Mid-November
  3. Commercial handling with the logistics service provider
  4. Integration of new factory in the existing plant security concept and restructuring of the logistic connections
  5. Office for approx. 25 employees, social wing for approx. 150 employees
  6. Conversion of logistics hall into production hall (energy technology)

 

Project flow

  • Negotiations with the logistics service provider, contract concluded for concept implementation
  • Preparation of target budget and subsequent budget control
  • Preparation of requirements profile for the involved departments and comparison with the available budget
  • Planning of all requirements (sprinklers, security, etc.) in close collaboration with authorities and insurances
  • Tender and commissioning of groups in collaboration with an industrial architect
  • Construction progress monitoring compared with overall project schedule
